Legacy Consulting Group

The Brief

Legacy Consulting Group equips nonprofit leaders with tools and experiences designed to help them grow, connect, and scale their impact.

For their Chicago convening, Legacy wanted to bring nonprofit executives and community organizations together for an in-person experience centered on learning, collaboration, and partnership.

But the goal extended beyond one event.

Legacy needed the Chicago convening to attract the right nonprofit leaders, create meaningful opportunities for connection and partnership, and establish a model that could be replicated in future markets.

The objective was to create an experience that delivered value in the room while giving Legacy a framework they could build on beyond Chicago.

The Gap

The vision was there. The infrastructure to repeat it was not.

Legacy wasn’t simply looking to fill a room. They needed a strategic approach to reaching the right audience, creating opportunities for partnership, and structuring the experience in a way that could be replicated.

Without a clear framework behind the event, future gatherings could require starting from scratch each time.

The opportunity was to build more than a successful convening.

It was to build the foundation for a repeatable experience.

The Strategy

BrandFelt approached the Chicago convening as both an experience and a growth opportunity. We developed three connected components designed to support the event before, during, and after the gathering.

Marketing & Promotional Strategy

We developed a promotional timeline and outreach strategy designed to reach nonprofit decision-makers through the channels and relationships most relevant to them. The strategy incorporated email, partner networks, and social channels to build awareness and drive participation.

Partnership Strategy

We created a tiered partnership model that gave sponsors and collaborators a clear understanding of how they could participate and what value they could receive in return. This included benefit structures and outreach templates designed to make partnership development more intentional and repeatable.

Event Playbook

We developed an event playbook that documented the framework behind the experience. The playbook included run-of-show guidance, staffing roles, vendor checklists, and post-event follow-up sequences.

Instead of treating Chicago as a one-time activation, Legacy could use the framework as a starting point for future gatherings.

The Activation

  • The Chicago convening brought nonprofit leaders and community organizations together in an intimate, interactive environment designed to encourage learning, collaboration, and connection.
  • The experience incorporated a practical workbook that gave attendees a tangible resource to take with them beyond the event.
  • The intimate format also created space for participants to engage meaningfully with one another rather than simply attend and leave.
  • Behind the experience, the marketing, partnership, and event framework gave Legacy a more structured approach to building future convenings.
